Refunds & the Live Arrival Guarantee
The Guarantee. Live crabs arrive lively; steamed crabs arrive hot and right. If the box lands wrong, send photos to dougie@dadscrabs.com within 24 hours of delivery and we make it right — a replacement or a credit toward your next order, your pick. A few dead loss crabs in a live bushel is normal and not a claim; a bad box is.
You can refuse at the door. You pay on delivery — cash or check — so you never pay for a box you don't accept. If it's not right at the handoff, say so and keep your money. No forms, no waiting.
Perishables are otherwise final sale. Once crabs leave the dock we can't restock them, so once you've accepted the box, sales outside the Guarantee are final. This never waives your rights on defective goods under Maryland law.
Kit hardware is different. Pots, mallets, bibs — unused hardware returns within 30 days for a full refund, no fuss.
Cancellations. Free until 48 hours before your delivery — one call or email does it. And because nothing is paid until the crabs reach your door, cancelling never means chasing a refund; there's simply nothing to give back.
